Best Golden Milk Latte

Golden milk lattes with turmeric are by far the best coffee substitute that exist. After months of searching for a recipe that was not only budget-friendly but also delicious, I’ve finally concocted one perfect for public consumption.

This golden milk latte is terrific because you get all the wonderful health benefits of turmeric, such as its anti-inflammatory powers, but you also get energy and focus from the “dopamine bean” and collagen peptides to hydrate, smooth and uplift your skin. I drink this every day and both my complexion and productivity levels have drastically improved.

1 teaspoon Gaia Herbs Golden Milk powdered turmeric supplement

1/2 – 1 teaspoon Sun Potion Mucuna Pruriens (or Moon Juice Power Dust)

2 teaspoons Besha Inc. Verisol Hydrolyzed Collagen

2 cups organic cashew milk

Instructions: Warm milk, thoroughly mix in powder ingredients and sip!

Why I chose these ingredients

Gaia Herbs Golden Milk was the tastiest of all golden milk powders I’ve tried. It was also easy to blend into my warm milk.

Sun Potion Mucuna Pruriens (a.k.a. “dopamine bean”) contains L-Dopa, a naturally occurring amino acid which transforms into dopamine in the brain, which helps boost brain power and reduce stress. Some people say this powder has replaced their Adderall — whoa!

If you want, add in (or substitute Mucuna Pruriens with) Moon Juice Power Dust, which has many of my favorite herbal adaptogenic superfoods that kills stress and promotes joy, such as astralagus, ginseng, schisandra and rhodiola.

I discovered Besha Inc. Verisol Hydrolyzed Collagen during my research as a beauty journalist when I found a clinical study backing all the “age-defying” claims of this powder. After consuming this every day for about a month, my skin was clearly plumper and dry spots disappeared. This powder is completely tasteless, which is a bonus.

I prefer cashew milk over others since I have sensitivities to cow’s milk and almond milk. This recipe is tasty with warmed cashew milk but if you must, replace with your favorite non-dairy milk.
